Who are the US Tax Team New Zealand?
The US Tax Team are a New Zealand based, US tax practice. We assist US citizens, green card holders, and others with a link to the US, with their US tax obligations. This includes tax consultancy, and tax return preparation.

The US Tax Team was established by US tax experts David Tzimenakis EA and Matthew Twine EA in October 2023. Having already been practicing in New Zealand for greater than 10 years, David and Matthew are well known amongst the expat community, and professionals alike.

The US Tax Team was established to bring change to the industry. To finally be a firm which is more affordable, where client service excellence is a norm and not an exception, and to help make annual US tax obligations an easy process. We know as well as most, the stress that US taxation can create.

Dealing with US taxes shouldn't be stressful. When you send an email, you shouldn't have to wait 3 days for a response. When you obtain advice, you should be able to trust that it is correct and accurate. On top of all of this, it shouldn't cost a small fortune.

Originally from the UK, David is an IRS Enrolled Agent, with a lengthy background in US tax advisory. David specialises in the areas of foreign trusts, foreign corporation, spousal tax efficiency, gifting and tax treaty interpretation.

David holds client service expectations in the highest regard, insisting on standards which exceed those in the industry. Each client should feel like they are the only client, and this is something David puts into practice each day.

Matthew Twine, EA
Director, US Tax Accountant
Matthew is an IRS Enrolled Agent, and one of New Zealand's most highly regarded US tax accountants.
Matthew assists US citizens with expert US tax accountancy, specialising in trusts, retirement schemes, and US foreign corporation reporting.
Matthew has been practicing in US taxation for greater than 10 years, and places huge emphasis on technical correctness as per US tax law, timeliness and clarity of information.
